The
Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State 
The
Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State (HPCANYS)
is a not-for-profit organization representing hospice and palliative
care programs, allied organizations and individuals that are interested
in the development and growth of quality, comprehensive end-of-life
services.
Founded in 1978
as the New York State Hospice Association, HPCANYS changed its name
to Hospice and Palliative Care Association in 2000 to better reflect
its role in fostering accessible, quality end-of-life care. The Association
is headquartered in Albany, New York and serves members statewide.
Member services
include advocacy, education, research, public engagement, database development,
communications, peer groups, and technical assistance.

"VNSW is a voluntary, non-profit
organization and the largest Certified Home Health Care Agencyin Westchester County. With a venerable
history dating back to 1901, VNSW is one of the oldest, most
experienced providers of home nursing services, and other health
care services, in the nation."
"VNSW provides 7-day, 24-hour
Services and accepts Reimbursement on an assignment basis from
Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, most insurance companies,
HMO's, Managed Care providers, Workers Compensation, No-Fault
Auto Insurance and Private Insurers."

"Caring Connections, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), is a national consumer engagement initiative to improve care at the end of life, supported by a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

1980, the organization is known as FIRST. It provides
reliable information and referrals throughout New York State
