"Celebration of Life Gathering"

Our Hospice program has been an annual memorial service for our families and the community for many years. This year, we initiated a Butterfly Release in memory and celebration of those who meant and continue to mean so much in our lives.
Each Hospice family was given a free Monarch butterfly to release; additional butterflies were available for a small fee to anyone wishing to remember loved ones. A short ceremony was followed by an outdoor release at the Rye Nature Center.
Refreshments and activities for families and children followed the release. Click the link below to view a short evocation of this wonderful event. We have every intention of a second Cellebration of Life in June of 2012. Besides a free butterfly for each Hospice family, additional butterflies are available to all.
